The Comfort Zone Vice (Part 1)

I recall a bible short story, ‘the parable of the Talent's (Mathew 25: 14-30) whom a man entrusted his property upon his servants according to their abilities as he went on a distant journey, and amongst these servants, there was one whom buried his masters money (the timid one) while the others invested theirs and reaped benefits (the risk takers).
As a child I wondered why the obedient servant who buried his master’s money, by keeping it safe and secure got the axe (punished) while the others received accolades. As an adult I tend to perceive this same story differently as I visualize these servants as different individuals with different mind-sets or should I say different paradigms. The first two servants who invested their given size of the master’s money put their all on the line, for they were at the bottom of the food chain and am very sure at that point failure wasn’t an option, for what may lie for these servants after failing and losing their masters money, death might just be a friend compared to the horrors to come, thus making the one (safe thinker) who buried his in the bank or ground seem like the obvious hero in this story. So I’d love to assume with the mindset of ‘nothing short of success these two individuals broke even and made profit for their master.
Well, one could stand firm with his convictions that we live in precarious times and the best way of moving forward could be the by holding firm and tight to that which u possess. Better still, it’s not that kind of mind-set that has kept us advanced and surviving all these years.  J.F Kennedy stated: change is the law of life, and those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.
Enough said though, its best to just do, get up on your feet, follow your goals, dreams and aspirations, its better and fall trying than stand doing nothing, existing rather than living. The only limitation to us going to talk to that special person, write that short story, start a business and so on, lies only in our minds.

Life is ever moving forward not standing still.
In life, if you don't take risk you will remain where you are.

The parable of the talents is also about hard work. Burying your talents is easy. Using your talents to multiply them is hard work ;).

Spot on. In the Hebrew, to know is to do. You don't know until you do!
